This is the bit that has all your text in it - everything you
want to say about your group
The complete site will include
- an ENTRY page (basically your logo and an invite to
"click to enter". This is heavily tagged for the search
engines, and is designed to eventually get you a high listing.
- the HOME page: the first page that people come to -
so keep it simple and short, but give enough information so
they know that they are on the right site and can navigate from
here to....
- the ABOUT page; history of your club, let people know
that you are friendly and aren't going to bash their heads in
(on the first night anyway!)
- the CLUBS page; training times, venues and a map to
help people get there (either a GIF/JPEG or a link to a site
such as www.streetmap.co.uk).
- the SENSEI page: pictures of your club instructor(s)
and some information about them. Individual e-mail links can
be easily set up (if you want your site hosted properly every
senior grade can have their own e-mail address/POP3 account)
- the LINKS page; has a twofold purpose, [1] to link
through to your chosen friendly sites and [2] some search engines
rate you higher if you have links in/out.
- the CONTACT page; This where you have an e-mail form
and/or phone/e-mail links.
This site has been designed to be simple to use and fast, so
the "surfer" has an enjoyable experience and gets the
impression that they are dealing with a professional organisation/group
(you can always change their minds later, but for now let's
just get them into the dojo!). I can easily include your own
logos and calligraphy, and build the site in your own choice of
colours.
I will NOT be churning out hundreds of sites with the
same design - each site will be unique. Have a look at some of
the other
sites I have done and see how different they are.
I'm sure you've seen plenty of really naff martial arts sites
full of tacky animated icons and bouncy scrolling text in lots
of different colours that make your eyes water. If that's what
you want then I suggest you quietly go elsewhere.
If you want a site that will impress people contact
me.
